Fire Suppression Installation
Contractors
Design and installation of new fire suppression systems for new construction, renovations, or change-of-occupancy projects.
About This Service
Installing a new fire suppression system requires a state-licensed fire protection contractor, a system design that meets the applicable NFPA standard, and a permit from the local Authority Having Jurisdiction. Systems must be designed and installed per NFPA 13 (commercial sprinklers), NFPA 13R (residential), NFPA 96 (kitchen hood), or the appropriate standard for the hazard. Hydraulic calculations, design drawings, and product submittals are required before installation begins. A final acceptance test must be witnessed by the AHJ before the system is placed in service.
