About This System

Dry pipe systems fill the pipes with pressurized air or nitrogen rather than water. When a sprinkler head activates, the pressure drops, the dry pipe valve opens, and water enters the system. They are the standard solution for parking garages, loading docks, attics, and any space subject to freezing temperatures. NFPA 25 requires annual dry pipe valve inspections, quarterly air pressure checks, and a full trip test every three years.
